Description

Petersen Heavy Equipment presents itself online at petersenequipmentne.com as an established used construction and farm machinery dealer at 1004 W 3rd St, Madison, NE 68748, with phone (402) 526-5891 and contact email sales@petersenequipmentne.com. The storefront advertises Kubota SVL75-2 and SVL90-2 track loaders, Caterpillar 289D and 299D3 skid steers, Bobcat T770 and T870, John Deere backhoes, and assorted dozers and excavators — all priced thousands of dollars below market to draw quick-decision buyers. Once a buyer engages, the seller insists on wire transfer, Zelle, ACH, or cryptocurrency, all payment methods that are difficult or impossible to reverse. After the funds post, the equipment never ships, no tracking is provided, the Madison, NE phone line stops being answered, and the email addresses go silent. A buyer who wired $15,750 toward a 2014 Kubota SVL75-2 listed at $22,000 received nothing. The Madison address and the (402) 526-5891 phone do not correspond to any verifiable Nebraska dealership, the LLC is not on file with the Nebraska Secretary of State, and the domain was only registered on June 5, 2026 — two days before this report. Do NOT send money to petersenequipmentne.com. If you already paid, contact your bank immediately to attempt a wire recall or chargeback, then report the fraud to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov, to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov, and to the Nebraska Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division in Lincoln, NE.
